ECOATS enhances recent trends in nanotechnology paints, by improving and simplifying the process of integrating nanometals into paints. Our unique processes allow the use of nanometals in the most cost-effective method, thereby limiting the additional costs, while maintaining the same level of effectiveness. The creation of our additive will allow for flexible integration with existing product lines, as well as, the opportunity to develop new environmentally conscious products.
What is it: ECOATS is a nanometal-based additive, which adds anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-fungal and self-cleaning properties to paint and coating products.
How does it work: The additive works on the principle of oxidation. When added to paints or coatings, it utilizes the surface area covered to manipulate and change the surrounding environment. Once treated, a surface will gain a resistance to molds, bacteria and fungi. Through the process of oxidation, air molecules containing harmful substances are converted to harmless byproducts. At the same time, ECOATS poses no additional significant risks to humans through its use.

Key Benefits:
- Anti-Bacterial/Anti-Microbial – surfaces coated with paint containing ECOATS will be free of harmful mold, mildew, fungi, and bacteria. As a result, the surface of the paint wears less, thereafter extending the life of the paint.
- Self-Cleaning - through the oxidation process, ECOATS will limit the ability of harmful compounds to attach to the surface coated.
- Odor Elimination - the specific nanometal used breaks down/destroys odors also through oxidation.
- Air Purification – The most critical aspect of ECOATS is that it doesn’t make paints just non-toxic, it makes them Eco-Active. While many green products advertise how they reduce their carbon footprint, paint infused with ECOATS will actually IMPROVE the environment in which it is used. Through the oxidation process, ECOATS has proved to be an effective combatant of nitrogen oxides (NOx’s), volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), hydrocarbons, and soot dispersed through vehicle emissions and waste.
